How PASS supports a human-centric BPM approach with Christoph Piller

Hi Reader,

Expanding on the last newsletter, I'd like to stress the importance of interacting with other BPM enthusiasts. It's easy to recognize when someone is genuinely enthusiastic and deeply interested in a subject. In my opinion, this enthusiasm is what really drives us forward, especially in the research world. πŸš€

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of having meaningful conversations with a lot of passionate people. These discussions not only lead to fresh ideas and inspiration but also reignite one's personal drive. 🀝

Moreover, specialization plays a crucial role. The more specific you become in a particular area, the more room you have for deeper exploration and breakthroughs.

For me, process modeling is an art, emphasizing the importance of a unified vision. Yet, companies are using tools which are not really capable of managing processes in a human-centric way. My research, especially into notations like UPN lately, led me to

Skore - New Process Partner of the Month

Skore offers an intuitive platform that consolidates processes, facilitates interactive mapping with UPN, and provides powerful analytics. It incorporates many valuable human-centric approaches, such as building trust and transparency through straightforward document control, driving ownership and engagement with process health metrics, and its very lean and clean look.

In my recent interview with Christoph Piller for the latest episode of the New Process Podcast, I couldn't help but notice his burning passion for his topic: subject-oriented BPM and the corresponding PASS notation. As I had never heard of PASS before, I had a lot of questions about it. πŸ€“

Feel free to check it out here:

Besides, we talk about:

  • What PASS can do better than other notations such as BPMN 2.0 or UPN
  • What his favorite PASS project was and how to get people excited for this approach
  • What hyper-automation is and what a Process Sprint Knight does
  • We’ll also talk about his thoughts on BPM and AI as well as his top tips to get to a more human-centric BPM approach.

For the real definition and description of what PASS looks like, check out the video in the following blog post:

Have you already heard of PASS or do you have a topic you're really passionate about (besides BPM in general of course ;-))?

Thank you for reading.

Have a great day! πŸš€
